COOK’S NOTE – Don’t follow the recipe over a cliff! I read a newspaper article once that said a man had driven over the edge of a jetty into the sea because his Sat Nav told him to. Of course, he should have used his common sense. The same principle applies to measuring ingredients – it’s not uncommon to find incorrect quantities in recipes so follow your instincts and double check if necessary by cross-referencing with a similar recipe.
