During each session, I will demonstrate a number of recipes all based around a broad theme. Guests will be given recipe sheets and offered tea and coffee whilst sitting back to enjoy the demonstrations – and there may sometimes be the opportunity for you to come and assist, should you wish! At the end of the demo, we will all sit down together for a relaxing lunch when everyone can try all the food prepared during the demo.

No experience is required. Not recommended for children. Please note that the sessions are not vegetarian unless specified. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements (even if you’ve been before) and I will let you know whether I am able to accommodate them in a particular session.
DIRECTIONS – from Monmouth town centre head up Monnow Street into Agincourt Square (Shire Hall on right). Pass the Monmouth Museum on your left and the Priory is on your right immediately after the entrance to St Mary’s Churchyard. The nearest car park is Glendower Street Car Park.

“I did the canapé session with Kather’s Kitchen on Friday 4th December in St Briavels. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. We made 5 different canapés and Kather even demonstrated how to make beetroot cured salmon with dill, fennel and tarragon. The filo cups and bread croustades which she demonstrated for the bases of the fillings were quick and easy. All of the fillings which we were made by the group were absolutely delicious and innovative. My favourite was the crab & mango spoons with lime, ginger & coriander which I will be making as a starter on Christmas day. Kather’s teaching methods are excellent – she is highly organised and extremely professional. I will certainly return to take more of her courses in the New Year. We ate our delicious canapés after the session and we sat down to soup, bread and chicken liven parfait, which Kather had already made and brought in for our lunch, finishing with a Christmas muffin and coffee.
