FORAGE FINE FOODS is owned by Liz Knight. Liz makes exquisite pots of wild ingredients including wild herb rub, wild salsa verde, pontack glaze and wild rose el hanout. Liz’s Wild Chocolate Mincemeat Cake is one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I love using her excellent herb concoctions to add some real magic to my food.
NATIVE BREEDS is a small charcuterie based on the Lydney Park Estate in Gloucestershire run by Ruth and Graham Waddington. They make utterly mouth-watering cured, smoked, air dried and cooked charcuterie from Britain’s native and rare breed animals. Their goose magret is to die for – and their chorizo is a wonderful secret ingredient to use in savoury recipes.
WYE VALLEY CHEESE is made at Lower Gockett Farm not far from Kather’s Kitchen. The Ryder family produce delicious unpasteurised ewe’s milk cheese made with milk from their own flock of Poll Dorset and Friesland ewes. They also produce unpasteurised cow’s milk cheese, some of which is smoked using traditional methods.
MADGETT’S FARM in Gloucestershire specialises in producing free range poultry, reared and processed on their farm overlooking the Wye Valley. The birds are fed a cereal diet and are allowed to roam freely, grown to full maturity resulting in meat with excellent flavour and superlative texture.
G & P ROSER is a butcher, game dealer and delicatessen in Tutshill, Gloucestershire selling exceptionally high quality, locally sourced meat from nearby farms known well to them. They can provide specific cuts of meat to order and nothing is too much trouble if you ever want help with jointing, boning and scoring.
BROOKE’S WYE VALLEY DAIRY CO. is based just a stone’s throw from Kather’s Kitchen. The Brooke family has been making ice cream for over two generations using double cream from their pedigree Jersey cows. The delectable flavours include Cinnamon, Cointreau & Orange and Almond Praline as well as their famous Welsh Gold honeycomb ice cream. They also produce a range of sensational sorbets.
SEVERN & WYE SMOKERY is located on the edge of the Forest of Dean between the River Severn and the River Wye. They specialise in fresh and oak wood smoked salmon and other smoked fish and poultry products using traditional smoking techniques.
HUMBLE BY NATURE is where Kather’s Kitchen started and it’s where we still run pop-up dinners in the main teaching barn. The farm is above the Wye Valley in Monmouthshire and is owned by Kate Humble and her husband, Ludo.

TUDOR FARMHOUSE HOTEL is a fine hotel and restaurant in Clearwell owned and run by Colin & Hari Fell. A converted farm dating from the 13th century, this is one seriously comfortable place to stay with lovely rooms and fabulous food. It is just 20 minutes from Kather’s Kitchen and is also within easy reach of Monmouth, Chepstow, the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.
CHLOE GARDNER ART Chloe Gardner creates brightly coloured and extremely eye-catching pictures in vivid acrylics and natural feathers collected from the beach where she lives. Her inspiration comes from her beautiful surroundings – five years living on a beach in Brazil followed by nearly as many years living on a Scottish beach in a protected bird area. Her work is also available as prints, cards, wallpaper, cushions, china and more.
ROSIE’S VINTAGE WALLPAPER sells original, antique wallpaper dating from the 1900s to the 1970s. They have some gorgeous 1950s kitchen designs and because they don’t sell any reproductions, you can be sure you’re getting something very special indeed. Our vintage kitchen wallpaper is the most commented-upon feature in our house!
